Bijoya Dashami, the last day of Durga Puja when we bid farewell to the Goddess and greet each other Bijoya wishes. The reign of the asura ends and peace and prosperity establishes on earth. People forget their differences and wish each other joy and peace. Dessehra for the rest of India it commemorates the slaying of Ravana by Lord Rama and the return of peace after a period of anarchy. Bengalis living across the world reconnect with friends and loved ones.
